    New York Yankees Derek Jeter was pegged as "Mr. November" after hitting a walk-off blast in the bottom of the tenth in Game 4 of the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Jeter became the first Major League Baseball player to ever hit a home run in the month of November.

    It all started with a steal by Dave Roberts in Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS, but it ended with David Ortiz. In two consecutive extra-inning games against the New York Yankees, "Big Papi" hit a walk-off two-run home run in the 12th inning in Game 4 and then hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 15th in Game 5. As you already know, the Red Sox rallied from a 3-0 series deficit to defeat the Yankees in seven games and then ended up capturing the World Series title against the St. Louis Cardinals.

    The Cleveland Indians thought they were on the verge of their first World Series title since 1948. The Indians had 2-1 lead against the Florida Marlins going into the bottom of the ninth in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series, but Jose Mesa coughed up the lead. The game went into extras when Edgar Renteria hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th to clinch the World Series crown for the Marlins.
