Former title challenger Gray Maynard is set to make his return to the Octagon when he takes on featherweight Fernando Bruno at "The Ultimate Fighter" season 23 finale on July 8 in Las Vegas.
Maynard, who fought Frankie Edgar for the lightweight title in 2011, will be making his featherweight debut against Bruno in a bout that was originally reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Unbeaten in his first 10 fights inside the Octagon, Maynard is best known for his epic trilogy with Edgar and has career wins over Dennis Siver, Jim Miller, Nate Diaz and Kenny Florian. He'll be looking to snap a four-fight win streak when he takes the Octagon in July.

His opponent, Bruno, was a finalist on the fourth season of "The Ultimate Fighter Brazil" and touts a 16-3 record with nine wins by submission.
"The Ultimate Fighter" season 3 finale goes down July 8 during International Fight Week. The card is sandwiched between a UFC Fight Night headlined a lightweight title fight on Thursday and UFC 200 on Saturday night, which makes for one action-packed weekend.
