Granada, Spain – Granada named Abel Resino its new manager Tuesday, one day after former coach Fabri Gonzalez was fired.
Resino last coached Real Valladolid, and has also coached at Atletico Madrid, among other clubs, during a coaching career that started in 2005.
The 51-year-old Resino played the majority of his career with Atletico Madrid, and played twice for Spain's national team.
Gonzalez led Granada to consecutive promotions to reach La Liga, but the club sits 18th in the standings halfway through season.
