Giovinco returns to Juventus

Juventus confirmed on Friday that Sebastian Giovinco will be returning to the club next season.

The 25-year-old started his career with Juve, but has spent the past two seasons with Parma, as the two clubs each held a 50 percent share of his sporting rights.

But after a season in which Giovinco tallied 15 goals for Parma, Juventus has announced that the club was able to regain 100 percent of his rights for a fee of nearly $14 million.

A statement from Juventus read: "Juventus announces that it has resolved in its favor the agreement with Parma relating to the playing rights of footballer Sebastian Giovinco.

"The transfer was resolved for a fee set at $13.7 million to be paid by Juventus over the next three seasons. The contract signed with the player is in effect until June 30, 2015."

Giovinco has also established himself as an Italy international and will be rejoining a Juventus side which captured the league title last season.
