Phoenix, AZ – The San Francisco Giants placed outfielder Angel Pagan on the 15-day disabled list Friday due to a nagging hamstring strain that has sidelined him for the team's last 10 games.
The move will be retroactive to May 28. Pagan initially sustained the injury while hitting a game-winning inside-the-park home run in the 10th inning of the Giants' 6-5 triumph over Colorado on May 25.
In 46 games this season, Pagan is batting .262 with three homers, 24 RBI and six stolen bases.
San Francisco recalled outfielder Juan Perez from Triple-A Fresno to take Pagan's place on the roster. The 26-year-old was hitting .296 with nine homers, 34 RBI and 12 steals for the Grizzlies.
