George Mason blows out Delaware 69-49

Cam Long scored 20 points to lead George Mason to a 69-49 win over Delaware in Colonial Athletic Association action on Monday night.

The Patriots (15-5, 7-2) led 23-20 with 3:35 left before halftime, but scored the final nine points of the half to take a 32-20 lead into the break.

George Mason outscored Delaware 34-12 on points in the paint and extended its lead to as many as 27, 64-37, with 2:52 to go.

Devon Saddler scored 15 and was the only player in double figures for the Fightin' Blue Hens (10-9, 5-4), who finished 17 of 56 from the floor (30.4 percent). Josh Brinkley grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds.

Long, who scored at least 20 points for the sixth time this season, was named CAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week earlier Monday after averaging 22 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in wins over Drexel (Jan. 19) and James Madison (Jan. 22).
