Geiger leads Idaho to 75-67 win over San Jose St.

Deremy Geiger scored 17 points, helping Idaho extend its winning streak to three games with a 73-64 victory over San Jose State on Saturday night.

Jeff Ledbetter scored seven of his 13 points in the final 4:33 as five players reached double figures for the Vandals (9-6, 3-1 WAC), who also won their third straight on the road. Luiz Toledo also had 13 points to go with nine rebounds. Kyle Barone and Shawn Henderson each scored 11 points.

It was the first time since Idaho's season-opening victory over Eastern Oregon the team has had as many players reach double figures.

Adrian Oliver scored 25 points for the Spartans (8-7, 0-4 WAC), who extended their season-long losing streak to four games. Justin Graham added 12 points and had nine assists and Brylle Kamen grabbed 11 rebounds.

After trailing for all but the first 1:35 of the game, Idaho rallied back into the lead at 53-52 when Toledo sank one of two free throws with 7:35 remaining.

Two ties and four lead changes later, Ledbetter gave the Vandals a six-point cushion, hitting a jumper with 1:18 left to make it 68-62, and the Spartans never got any closer.

Graham's short jumper with two seconds remaining gave the Spartans a 35-27 halftime advantage.
