For the South Carolina Gamecocks, Saturday's matchup against Vanderbilt marked the first game of the Shawn Elliott era.
The interim coach has taken over for the newly-resigned Steve Spurrier, and undoubtedly wants to make his mark on the program.

If Saturday is any indication, it appears as if there's a whole lot more energy percolating from the squad.
Elliott had the Gamecocks in a complete frenzy as they entered the field from the locker room. As a tribute to Spurrier, Elliott was carrying a white visor in the air.

Couple that with the black alternate jerseys and white towels, and Williams-Brice Stadium looks absolutely euphoric in its first game since catastrophic flooding in the city and the state.
