Yovani Gallarado was strong in his return to the Brewers from the World Baseball Classic, retiring 12 straight batters after giving up a leadoff home run in Milwaukee's 7-0 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night.
Gallardo, back from a weekend stint with Team Mexico, struck out five in four innings after Gerardo Parra's solo home run to open the bottom of the first. Parra also had a two-run double in Arizona's four-run sixth inning.
It was Parra's first game back with the Diamondbacks since playing for Venezuela at the WBC, along with catcher Miguel Montero and third baseman Martin Prado.
