France storms back to beat Italy in Fed Cup

Genoa, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Kristina Mladenovic and Caroline Garcia won their respective singles matches, then teamed up in doubles to complete a great comeback against Italy and send France into the Fed Cup semifinals.
The Italians entered Sunday with a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five tie after Sara Errani and Camila Giorgi won singles matches on Saturday.
Mladenovic kept France alive in Sunday's first singles match by beating Errani 6-4, 6-3. Garcia then rallied past Giorgi 4-6, 6-0, 6-2.

Mladenovic and Garcia took down the world's top doubles pair, Errani and Roberta Vinci, by a 6-1, 6-2 margin in just over one hour.
France will face the Czech Republic in the semifinals in April.
France improved to 7-3 all-time versus Italy. The Italians had won the last three meetings.
