France midfielder Yann M'Vila was banned from international play through June 2014 on Thursday, meaning the 22-year-old will miss the World Cup if France qualifies.
The French Soccer Federation banned M'Vila from all international play after he was involved in an unauthorized night out while with the French Under-21 side.
"(He) has been banned from all national teams ... (until) June 30, 2014," the French Soccer Federation announced.

Capped 22 times for France, M'Vila played three times at Euro 2012.
France also suspended Chris Mavinga, Wissam Ben Yedder, Antoine Griezmann and Mbaye Niang from international play through 2013 for the unauthorized trip to a Paris night club between matches during Euro U-21 qualifying.
