Fish swims into Rogers Cup semis
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Top American Mardy Fish posted a quarterfinal victory Friday at the $2.43 million Rogers Cup, an ATP Masters and U.S. Open Series event.
Despite dropping serve five times in the first two sets, the sixth-seeded world No. 8 Fish held off 14th-seeded Swiss slugger Stanislas Wawrinka 6-3, 6-7 (8-10), 6-0 in 2 hours, 21 minutes on the hardcourts at Uniprix Stadium.
Fish will meet the Tomas Berdych-Janko Tipsarevic winner in Saturday's semifinals at this former Canadian Open.
