Fales throws for 431 yards and 3 TDs as San Jose St tops Colorado St 34-27

David Fales connected with Tyler Winston on a 62-yard touchdown catch and run with 5:36 to play to lift San Jose State to a 34-27 win over Colorado State on Saturday.

In a game which featured five ties and seven lead changes, Fales completed 28 of 35 passes for 431 yards and three touchdowns.

Fales threw touchdown passes of 83- and 77-yards to Jarrod Lawson and Chandler Jones, respectively, in the second quarter and San Jose State (3-3, 2-1 Mountain West) piled up 608 yards of total offense.

Lawson finished with 104 yards receiving and a game-high 98 yards rushing, including an 18-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Tyler Winston added eight receptions for 151 yards and a score for the Spartans.

Garrett Grayson had 310 yards passing and three touchdowns for Colorado State (2-4, 0-1 Mountain West), but threw two second half interceptions which led to 10 SJSU points.
