Nice midfielder Valentin Eysseric has been suspended for the remainder of the Ligue 1 season after his terrible tackle on St Etienne's Jeremy Clement resulted in a broken leg.
Eysseric was shown a straight red card for the offense, which left Clement with a fractured fibula, and the league has subsequently handed out an 11- match suspension to Eysseric, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
"Valentin Eysseric, who was sent off at St Etienne last weekend, was suspended for 11 games by the French Professional League's (LFP) disciplinary committee," a Nice statement read. "The player will therefore not play again this season."

Eysseric has netted five goals in 24 Ligue 1 games for Nice this season, and he has said he will not appeal the penalty.
