MONTREAL - A group led by former NHL defenceman Joel Bouchard has purchased the Montreal Juniors of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The team will move from the Verdun Auditorium to the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand, Que., just north of the city next season. Bouchard runs a hockey academy at the Boisbriand rink.
Commissioner Gilles Courteau said the league's governors approved the sale and relocation on Wednesday.

Bouchard was an assistant coach of the Juniors last season. The 37-year-old also is a hockey analyst for the French-language all-sports television network RDS.
The Calgary Flames draft pick played 364 games for seven teams in an injury-plagued NHL career.
He is to announce details of the purchase at a news conference next week.
