Barcelona, Spain – Italy's Sara Errani handled Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia in Sunday's final at the Barcelona Ladies Open.
The seventh-seeded Errani took down Cibulkova, the No. 3 seed, by a 6-2, 6-2 margin in 65 minutes to win her 10th straight match on clay.
Errani captured her second title of the year after winning in Acapulco last month. The Italian improved to 4-3 for her career in finals.
Italians have taken the last four titles in Barcelona -- Roberta Vinci in 2009, Francesca Schiavone in 2010 and Vinci again in 2011.
Cibulkova was trying to win her second career title. She won her maiden WTA crown last October in Moscow, prevailing in a final after losing each of her first three title matches.
Despite the loss, Cibulkova still owns a 4-3 mark against Errani.
Errani took home $37,000 with the victory.
