English Premier League teams charging at least 2 times more for tickets as Europe's leagues

Fans of English Premier League clubs are paying at least two times more than those attending games in the other four major leagues in Europe.

BBC Sport's Price of Football study says the average season ticket for a Premier League team costs 508 pounds ($808), more than triple the cost of the equivalent in Germany's Bundesliga ($220).

The average season ticket in Italy is $335, Spain ($293) and ($318) in France.

The study says that Arsenal is the most expensive club in Europe to watch, with a season ticket ranging from 1,014 pounds ($1,614) to 2,013 pounds ($3,204). Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champion, has the cheapest season ticket in England's top division starting at 299 pounds ($476).
