The Philadelphia Eagles, who have been hit hard by injuries to wide receivers this summer, acquired Jeff Maehl from the Houston Texans on Monday in exchange for offensive lineman Nate Menkin.
Maehl played for Eagles coach Chip Kelly during his collegiate career at Oregon. During his senior season with the Ducks, Maehl tied for the then- Pac-10 conference lead with 12 receiving touchdowns and had 77 catches for 1,076 yards. His 24 career touchdown catches at Oregon equaled the school's all-time record.
Menkin was claimed off waivers by the Eagles from the Texans prior to the start of the last season. He was originally signed by Houston as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

The Eagles have had starter Jeremy Maclin and possible backup Arrelious Benn both go down with season-ending ACL injuries during training camp.
