A Dutch soccer team has a new superstar on its hands and he's only 18-months-old.

Baerke van der Meij became an Internet sensation after he was filmed chipping three soccer balls into a box at his home.

Dutch team VVV Venlo -- the same soccer team his grandfather played for -- invited the toddler for a tryout after seeing him on the web and ended up offering him a 10-year contract. The club stressed however that the contract is symbolic.

The club said they were very impressed with the youngster.

"Baerke did his best to amaze professional footballer Ken Leemans with his football techniques," the club told the Bleacher Report.

"One can speak of a right-footed player with a very good kick technique, perseverance and, importantly, football genes of grandfather Jan van der Meij."
