Duke's Winslow following Okafor into NBA Draft

Durham, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Duke freshman Justise Winslow is entering the NBA Draft, Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski announced Tuesday.

The news came five days after fellow Blue Devils freshman Jahlil Okafor said he would go pro.

Both players are projected to be taken early in the first round, perhaps in the top five. They are the sixth and seventh Duke freshmen to enter the draft after one season.

"He had a sensational year, both on and off the court," Krzyzewski said of Winslow in a statement. "He was an amazing factor for our success in winning the national championship. From everything we have found out, Justise is projected to be a high lottery pick and we believe that to be true.

"This is a great time to take advantage of this opportunity. We're behind him all the way and love him and his family."

Winslow, a 6-foot-6 forward, averaged 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and almost a block per game for Duke. He had 11 points in the national championship game against Wisconsin as both he and Okafor battled foul trouble in Duke's 68-63 win.
