New York, NY – Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week for Week 23 on Monday after recording four assists in his team's 4-0 win over Chivas USA.
With his four-assist performance, Donovan is just the fourth player in MLS history to assist on four goals in a game, joining Carlos Valderrama, Chris Henderson, and Dwayne De Rosario.
Donovan set up Robbie Keane's first-half goal to get the Galaxy off to a good start before he assisted on both of Juninho's goals after the break.
The Galaxy's final goal came in the last 10 minutes and it was Donovan who once again played provider, finding the head of Omar Gonzalez with a corner kick that helped the defender net his first goal of the campaign.
