With Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker slated to be the No. 1 and No. 2 wideouts come training camp, the Miami Dolphins aren't in dire need of another wide receiver. However, a team can never have enough depth at that position.

With that said, the Dolphins announced on Thursday that they've signed former Steelers wide receiver Tyler Murphy to a reserve/future contract.

He spent four weeks on the Steelers' 53-man roster as a wide receiver and emergency quarterback following injuries to Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Vick. He has experience playing both positions, having played quarterback in college at Florida and Boston College.

He broke the ACC record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single season with 1,184 in 2014.

Murphy had one reception for 16 yards this season with the Steelers and was active for two games.
