Denver, CO – The Los Angeles Dodgers placed reliever Scott Elbert on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with left elbow inflammation.
Elbow inflammation also forced Elbert to the DL on July 27. The 27-year- old lefty has tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings in four appearances since his return on Aug. 19.
In 43 games with the Dodgers this season, Elbert has gone 1-1 with a 2.20 earned run average over 32 2/3 innings.
In a corresponding roster move, the Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Shawn Tolleson from Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.
