Atlanta, GA – The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated reliever Scott Elbert from the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.
Elbert landed on the DL on July 26 with left elbow inflammation. He made three rehab appearances with Double-A Chattanooga and struck out all six batters he faced over two innings of work.
Prior to the DL stint, Elbert was 1-1 with a 2.45 earned run average in 39 games.
To make room for Elbert, the Dodgers optioned infielder/outfielder Elian Herrera to Triple-A Albuquerque.
