Dodgers 3B Justin Turner 'close' to returning from DL, Mattingly says

As second baseman Howie Kendrick was placed on the disabled list Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers received good news about another one of their injured infielders.
Manager Don Mattingly told reporters Monday that third baseman Justin Turner, who has been on the disabled list with a leg infection, is within a few days of returning to the team.
"He's close," Mattingly said of the 30-year-old utility man, who has established himself as a mainstay third baseman with a hot bat this season. "He's been taking BP and running indoors. We think he should be ready in a few days."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}In 87 games this season, Turner has hit .323/.387/.563 with 13 home runs and 44 RBI.
In addition to already eclipsing his career-high home run total by nearly double this season, Turner also leads the Dodgers in on-base plus slugging percentage (.950), surpassing power-hitting first baseman Adrian Gonzalez (.902).
