Dimitrov eases into Istanbul quarters

Istanbul, Turkey (SportsNetwork.com) - Second-seeded Bulgarian star Grigor Dimitrov was an easy second-round winner Thursday at the inaugural Istanbul Open.
Dimitrov went unchallenged in a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Kazakhstan's Andrey Golubev on the red clay at Koza World of Sports Arena.
"It was a good match today and I am looking forward to tomorrow," said Dimitrov. "I played a solid, structured game and it was enough for me to win today."

Up next for the nifty Bulgarian will be capable Croat Ivan Dodig, who came from behind to defeat Serb Dusan Lajovic 5-7, 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 on Day 4.
In other second-round action, third-seeded Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay overcame Russian qualifier Teymuraz Gabashvili 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 and Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci got past Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.
Cuevas will battle Bellucci in an all-South American affair on Friday.

Two other quarterfinals will pit top-seeded former world No. 1 great Roger Federer against in-form Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver and fourth-seeded Colombian Santiago Giraldo versus fellow South American, eighth-seeded Diego Schwartzman of Argentina.
The 33-year-old Swiss icon Federer is seeking his third title of 2015, having reached three finals, including victories in Brisbane and Dubai.
Gimeno-Traver was a runner-up in Casablanca earlier this month.
