London, England – Tottenham confirmed the signing of midfielder Mousa Dembele from Fulham on Wednesday in a deal that cost Spurs around $23 million.
The 25-year-old joined Fulham from AZ Alkmaar in 2010 and enjoyed a strong campaign with the Cottagers last season, scoring two goals in 36 Premiership appearances.
Dembele is seen as a replacement for Luka Modric, who left Tottenham on Monday to sign for Real Madrid, with the Belgium international potentially featuring for Spurs against Norwich City this weekend.
