Dayton, OH – The University of Dayton football team will play five home games as part of its 2012 schedule.
The Flyers will open the season with back-to-back road games at Illinois State and Duquesne on Sept. 1 and 8, respectively.
They return home for games against Robert Morris (Sept. 15) and Jacksonville (Sept. 22), which also is the Flyers' Pioneer Football League opener.
Dayton also will host PFL games against Morehead State (Oct. 13), Valparaiso (Oct. 20) and Drake (Nov. 3).
The Flyers' conference road games are against Butler (Sept. 29), Davidson (Oct. 6), San Diego (Oct. 27) and Marist (Nov. 10).
Since 1977, Dayton, which finished 6-5 under coach Rick Chamberlin last season, has had a winning record in all but one season (2006).
