CUP: Sunday Martinsville Notebook

RACE DAY – Race morning is clear and crisp at Martinsville Speedway, with the temperature at 50 under sunny skies. Excellent weather is predicted for the scheduled 1 p.m. (ET) start of the STP Gas Booster 500, the sixth race of the Sprint Cup season. The afternoon high is expected to be about 70, and there is almost no chance of rain. Jimmie Johnson, a seven-time winner here, is on the pole for the 500-lap, 263-mile race.
