The Chicago Cubs evened their NLDS against the St. Louis Cardinals with a 6-3 win on Saturday night in Game 2.
The Cubs fell behind 1-0 when Matt Carpenter led off the game with a homer, but then scored five unearned runs in the second inning and another run in the third. The Cardinals' Kolten Wong and Randal Grichuk crushed back-to-back homers in the fifth inning to make it closer.
Neither Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks nor Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia made it past the fifth inning.
