Clippers' Redick out at least a week

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Clippers guard J.J. Redick is expected to be sidelined between 7-to-10 days due to a thigh bruise, said head coach Doc Rivers on Thursday.

Redick, acquired by the Clippers from Milwaukee over the summer as part of a three-team trade in which Los Angeles shipped both point guard Eric Bledsoe and veteran forward Caron Butler to the Phoenix Suns, is not believed to be in danger of missing the team's regular-season opener, which will take place on Oct. 29 against the rival Lakers.

Rivers also told reporters that star forward Blake Griffin sustained a bone bruise to his left knee during Wednesday's scrimmage and was held out of Thursday's practice as a precaution.

Swingman Matt Barnes (calf) and rookie guard Reggie Bullock (knee) are also currently day-to-day with minor injuries.
