Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen could return Wednesday against San Antonio after missing six games because of an ankle injury.
Allen was hurt during a March 12 game against the Los Angeles Clippers and played the ensuing five games. He last played on March 22 against Milwaukee and the Celtics have posted a 5-1 mark in his absence.
After taking a cortisone shot on Sunday, Allen was able to practice on Tuesday.

"I felt good to be out on the floor," Allen said Tuesday. "My legs felt great today. I had a shot in the ankle on game day the other day and had all day [Monday] for it to maneuver through my body, and coming into today, I felt like I had two new wheels."
Celtics head coach Doc Rivers said if Allen is cleared to play Wednesday, he will start against the Spurs.
Allen is averaging 14.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 41 games this season.
