Cards have expressed interest in Brewers first baseman Adam Lind
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Looking for a little pop in the lineup, the Cardinals have talked to the Milwaukee Brewers about first baseman Adam Lind, who has 16 home runs.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis is seeking a left-handed bat with some power, but one that also comes with a short-term deal. Lind fits that bill, and he could be made available by Milwaukee as Friday's non-waiver trade deadline creeps closer.
A potential obstacle in a deal for Lind is his health. He left Saturday's game because of tightness in his back, and did not play Sunday.

The return of Matt Holliday's left-handed bat and any boast from slumping third baseman Matt Carpenter should help the Cards' offense. Another potential target is Baltimore first baseman Chris Davis.
