Cardinals retain Holliday with 1-year deal

The Arizona Cardinals re-signed defensive end Vonnie Holliday to a one-year deal on Monday.

Holliday totaled 16 tackles in 16 games for the Cards last season, his first with the franchise.

Entering his 15th pro campaign, the 36-year-old North Carolina product has compiled 431 tackles, 62 1/2 sacks and two interceptions for the Packers, Chiefs, Dolphins, Broncos, Redskins and Cardinals since 1998.

Arizona also released defensive end Conrad Obi.
