Cameron leads Coastal Carolina over VMI 66-62 and into Big South tournament championship game

Josh Cameron scored 17 points and made critical plays late to lead Coastal Carolina over VMI 66-62 on Saturday and into the Big South conference championship game.
The Chanticleers (20-12), the No. 1 South Division seed, will play No. 4 South seed Winthrop in Sunday's championship game, CCU's first title-game appearance since 2011. VMI was the No. 2 North seed.
Cameron made a steal with 2:05 left, was fouled and made both free throws for a 63-59 lead. VMI's Rodney Glasgow made three free throws before CCU's Warren Gillis scored to make it 65-62. VMI then missed a 3-pointer, Cameron got the rebound and was fouled with 3.9 seconds left. His free throw ensured the win.

Badou Diagne had 11 rebounds, along with 11 points, for CCU.
D.J. Covington had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead VMI (19-12), which is moving to the Southern Conference next season.
