AP Analysis: The Bears again have the nation's top offense (581.1 yards, 49.8 points a game) with a solid but recently shaky defense. The two-touchdown loss at WVU after the fourth-quarter comeback over TCU hurt, and they held on last week for a 48-46 win after leading by 25 points over four-win Texas Tech. Baylor is still dragged down by a non-conference schedule of winless SMU, 5-6 Buffalo and a .500 FCS team.
