The Chicago Bulls' season changed in a hop.
Derrick Rose, the reigning NBA MVP who missed so much time during the regular season because of injuries, will be out for the remainder of the playoffs with a torn ligament in his left knee.
Rose tore his left anterior cruciate ligament with 70 seconds remaining in the Bulls' victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.

The injury leaves Chicago in an all-too-familiar position without their star point guard.
Rose, who missed 27 games during the regular season with a litany of injuries, went down with after driving to a jump-stop in the lane and throwing a pass out to the right.
He crawled slowly to the floor and was lying on his back, grasping at his knee for several minutes before he was helped off the court.
