Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose returned from his latest injury on Saturday against the Mavericks.

The Bulls have been holding on to the top seed in the Eastern Conference despite Rose seeing action in just three of the 19 games leading up to Saturday's tilt.

Rose was originally sidelined for three weeks due to a groin injury, promptly sprained his right ankle upon his return, then hurt his right foot while playing 42 minutes against the Pistons on April 15.

The reigning league MVP, who came in averaging 22.5 points and 7.9 assists, missed the next three games, two of which Chicago lost.

The Bulls currently hold a 1 1/2-game lead over the Heat for the No. 1 seed in the East.
