Chicago, IL – Bulls point guard Derrick Rose has gotten familiar with the bench over the past month, and on Monday he will be joined there by teammate Luol Deng.
Rose is being held out of Monday's game against the Wizards after suffering a right foot injury on Sunday against the Pistons. The reigning league MVP made the game-tying three-pointer late in regulation to send the game to overtime in just his third game back from a three-week absence due to a groin injury.
The Bulls, who have already clinched the Central Division, are 16-7 without Rose in the lineup this season and hold a 3 1/2-game lead over Miami atop the Eastern Conference with six to play.
Deng, who has averaged a league-high 39 1/2 minutes per game this season, is sitting because of bruised ribs.
