Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo suffers knee injury, status unclear for rest of playoffs
The injury occurred just as Antetokounmpo was getting hot in the third quarter
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a hyperextended left knee during the team’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night.
The injury occurred without about 7:20 remaining in the third quarter. Antetokounmpo was attempting to block a lob to Hawks forward Clint Capela when he got entangled with Capela and dropped to the floor in pain.

{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}He was grabbing his leg and the cheers from the State Farm Arena after the Capela score quickly fell silent.
Antetokounmpo did not return to the game.
The NBA world hoped that "The Greek Freak" would be OK.

Bucks forward P.J. Tucker was a bit down after the game.
"It’s not good. It’s not good losing anybody on your team and losing your best player stinks," Tucker said.

"I think just based on how he was grabbing his leg, it seemed like it was pretty bad," Bucks guard Jrue Holiday added.
Antetokounmpo’s status for the rest of the playoffs is unclear. He tried to get back onto the bench after being injured but ultimately returned and stayed in the locker room.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}"We’ll take everything as it comes," coach Mike Budenholzer said after the game. "We’ll evaluate it. We’ve got a heck of a team, a heck of a roster. ... The guys will prepare. They’ll be ready."
Antetokounmpo was hearing it from Hawks fans the entire night. At the free-throw line, he was hearing a 10-count from the fans and even more cheers when he air-balled a few shots.
He left the floor with 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists in the game. He had eight points in the third quarter before leaving the game.

Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the NBA and was immensely helpful in the Bucks’ series victory over the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
