The Browns offensive MVP so far this season wears a headset on Sundays and never strays from the sideline. Coordinator Kyle Shanahan has Cleveland's offense humming.

Shanahan's quarterback-friendly system has helped the Browns improve across the board this season. They are one of three teams to score at least 21 points in each game, and Cleveland is averaging 26.8 points per game — the team's highest average since 1968. The Browns are also third in rushing, a jump from 27th a year ago.

The 34-year-old Shanahan spent the previous four years in Washington working under his dad, Mike, a longtime NFL head coach. The Shanahans had a difficult 2013 season because of a falling out with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, who blamed part of his injuries on the way he was used.
