Broncos' Julius Thomas inactive

Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas will not play in Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins due to a sprained left ankle he sustained in the team's 22-7 loss at St. Louis last Sunday.

Thomas, the NFL's leader with 12 touchdown catches this season, barely practiced during the week and was listed as questionable for the Week 12 contest.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who suffered a concussion in the St. Louis game, is active for the Broncos. Running backs Ronnie Hillman (foot) and Montee Ball (groin) had been ruled out of Sunday's game earlier in the week.
