Brewers claim Ransom from Arizona
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Milwaukee Brewers claimed third baseman Cody Ransom off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Arizona designated the 32-year-old Ransom for assignment on Monday. He is batting .269 with four home runs and 13 RBI over 17 games this season.
A 10-year veteran, he is a .226 hitter with 14 home runs and 56 RBI over 248 games with San Francisco, Houston, the New York Yankees, Philadelphia and Arizona.
