Miami, FL – The Atlanta Braves released veteran reliever A Gwinnett on Wednesday.
Proctor, 34, compiled a 6.44 earned run average in 31 appearances this season.
Vizcaino, a right-hander who was acquired from the New York Yankees in the December 2009 trade for Javier Vazquez, posted a 5-5 record with a 3.06 ERA in a combined 26 games (17 starts) with Class A Advanced Lynchburg, Double-A Mississippi and Gwinnett this year. He registered 100 strikeouts and issued 28 walks in 97 innings.
The 20-year-old entered 2011 as the seventh-best prospect in the Braves organization, according to Baseball America.
