The Atlanta Braves recalled pitcher Randall Delgado to start Tuesday's game against the San Francisco Giants.

The 21-year-old is pitching in place of Tommy Hanson, who landed on the disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis.

Delgado made his major league debut for the Braves back on June 17, allowing four runs -- three earned -- on seven hits over four innings in a loss to the Texas Rangers.

The right-hander went a combined 7-5 with a 3.45 earned run average and 125 strikeouts in 23 starts between Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett this season.

In a corresponding move, the Braves optioned catcher J.C. Boscan to Gwinnett.
