Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones has been scratched from tonight's lineup against Milwaukee due to excessive fluid and swelling in his left knee.
Jones, who announced last month that he will retire after this season, had a procedure March 26 to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.
Jones, who will turn 40 on April 24, was off to a strong start in his first two games, going 4-for-9 with a homer and two RBI. He batted .275 with 18 homers and 70 RBI in 126 contests last season.

The Braves are 0-4 without Jones in the lineup, and 2-0 with him in it.
Friday night was to have been the last home opener of Jones' career. Instead, Martin Prado was listed in the starting lineup at third base.
