St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - St. Louis Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk is set to return for Saturday's game against Columbus after missing nearly two months with an abdominal injury.
Shattenkirk was hurt during a Feb. 1 game against Washington and underwent surgery a few days later. He has missed 25 games and practiced with his teammates on Friday.
"I've done what I've got to do rehab-wise," said Shattenkirk on Friday. "It's time to jump back into it."
Shattenkirk will likely see limited minutes Saturday in his return. He is expected to play on the third defensive pairing with Barret Jackman.
"I'm ready to go," the All-Star added Friday. "I had a really good practice today. I felt good out there."
Shattenkirk has eight goals and 32 assists in 49 games this season.
