Blue Jays hitting coach Jacoby suspended 14 games
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Toronto Blue Jays hitting coach Brook Jacoby was suspended 14 games by Major League Baseball on Monday for an apparent run-in with umpires last week.
The league said in a news release that Jacoby would be suspended 14 games without pay "for his postgame conduct toward the umpire crew" following last Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Sox in Boston.
No other details were given and an MLB spokesman contacted Monday evening didn't expand on the news release.
