Blue Jays activate P Tallet
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Toronto Blue Jays activated pitcher Brian day disabled list Monday, while designating left-hander Wil Ledezma for assignment.
The Blue Jays acquired the left-handed Tallet from St. Louis on July 27, when he was already on the DL because of a right intercostal strain. He suffered the injury while sneezing.
Tallet, who pitched for Toronto from 2006-10, had posted an 8.31 earned run average in 18 appearances for the Cardinals this season.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Ledezma gave up 10 runs in six innings during five appearances for the Blue Jays in 2011.
