Oleg Blokhin will remain coach of Ukraine beyond Euro 2012, it was announced by the Ukraine Football Federation on Wednesday.
Blokhin led Ukraine to a place in the quarterfinals of the 2006 World Cup, and his current deal had been due to expire following this summer's European Championships, which will be co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland.
But the 59-year-old will now remain on board following the competition to try and help Ukraine qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
